Hamden police have arrested a Quinnipiac student who they said was intoxicated, threatened a university staff member and assaulted a public safety officer.
Police responded to the public safety office of Quinnipiac at 1 a.m. on Saturday for a report of a drunken student, who they have identified as Justin A. Mendonca, 21, of Cheshire.
The public safety officer sustained a minor injury that did not require any medical attention, police said.
Mendonca was charged him with threatening and second-degree-breach of peace.
He was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond, and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Nov 1.
