Residents Safe After New Haven Home Engulfed in Flames

All the residents in a New Haven home are safe after a three-family house was engulfed in flames on Wednesday night. 

The fire department said they were called to the scene on Pierpont Street at 8:25 p.m. for the second-alarm fire. 

In total, five adult, a dog and one child evacuated safely from the building's basement, first and second-floor apartments.

Red Cross is assisting the families.
