Someone really wanted to get into Casey's Market in Windsor Locks on Tuesday morning to get the ATM and more because they backed a stolen truck into the shop not once but twice, police said.

Around 3 a.m., a man stole a pickup from H.A.R.P. Mechanical, which is located across Spring Street from the market, and backed through the window, police said. Cops knew where the truck belonged because the driver left behind a little clue in the form of a license plate.

The manager of Casey's Market said the burglar cut the phone lines so the silent alarm never registered.

The burglar stole the ATM, which was bolted into the ground.

The newspaper delivery person made the discovery around 4 a.m. and called police.

After the robbery, the robber brought the stolen truck back to where he had taken it from, hoping no one would notice the damage to the back of it, police said.

This is the second time the store has been robbed recently. Three months ago, someone broke the window and stole cigarettes. During that incident the phone lines were also cut.
