Police are looking for the man who stole $13,000 from the safe at the Goodwill Store in Stamford on Tuesday morning.

A man between 25 and 30 years old with a handgun entered the back of the store at 1 West Broad St. just at 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, demanded that the store clerk open the safe and stole about $13,000 in cash, police said.

When the man was leaving, another worker confronted him, police said.

The robber pulled a knife, ran toward the parking garage of 25 Adams Ave., discarded several items and was last seen walking North on Adams Avenue, police said.

Police released surveillance video of a 5-foot-8 to 5-foot -10 man thin man with a goatee and wearing a dark sweatshirt with white writing and black sweatpants with white stripes. He was also carrying a black colored duffle bag, police said.

Anyone who knows who the man is should call Stamford Police BCI at 203-977-4417.
