Police in Coventry, East Hartford and Manchester are looking for the man they believe robbed five convenience stores in the last couple of weeks, including two at 7-Eleven stores this morning.

In each case, the robber had a bag over his head, according to police.

East Hartford police swarmed the 7-Eleven on Main Street in East Hartford around 1 a.m. after a robbery was reported there.

The robber pushed the clerk, but the employee was OK, police said. Officials don't think he had a weapon and said he walked away, heading east on Brewer Street,

Then, Coventry police responded to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven at 2711 Boston Turnpike just after 5 a.m.

He implied he had a weapon, but never pointed one at staff, police said.

After obtaining the cash, the robber walked away from the scene, heading west on Route 44 and remains at large. Police brought in K9 units, but were not able to find him.
