Traffic is backed up on Route 2 westbound in East Hartford in the wake of a crash near exit 4, according to state police.
The highway was shut down briefly late Monday afternoon while emergency crews responded to the scene. There has been no word on injuries.
Although Route 2 has reopened, traffic is still heavily delayed.
