Police ID Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Route 25 in Newtown

A 42-year-old Southbury man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 25 in Newtown on Thursday.

Emergency officials responded to Mount Pleasant Road, or Route 25, and Reservoir Road around 3 p.m. and found a badly damaged 2011 Harley Street Glide, according to police.

The motorcyclist, Michael Defusco, was found down the embankment of the southbound shoulder and paramedics determined at the scene that he was dead from injuries sustained in the crash, according to police.

The Newtown Police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating.
