Route 3 northbound is closed again this weekend as construction continues on the Putnam Bridge, which connects Glastonbury and Wethersfield.
The northbound lanes were blocked off at 8 p.m. Friday and will remain closed through 5 a.m. Monday, July 27, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Drivers can bypass the Putnam Bridge by following signs from Interstate 91 northbound to the Charter Oak Bridge and Route 2.
Route 3 southbound, from Glastonbury to Wethersfield, will close next weekend, weather permitting.
The construction is part of a $35 million project to rehabilitate the bridge.
