Winsted Road, or Route 800, in Torrington is closed from West Chapel Street to College Avenue because wires are down, according to dispatchers.
Connecticut Light & Power is assessing the scene. A detour is set up at Route 8 or Northside Drive to Spruce Drive to Northridge Avenue.
