Police ID Pedestrian Killed in Farmington Crash

Life Star took a pedestrian from a crash scene in Farmington on Wednesday morning.

A Farmington man was killed after being struck by an SUV on Brickyard Road in Farmington around 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning. 
 
The driver struck Edward M. Gorecki, 55, of Farmington, near the intersection of Eastview Drive, police said, and the pedestrian was rushed to Hartford Hospital by Life Star, police said. Gorecki lived on that street. 

Just before noon, police said the pedestrian had died from the injuries.

Brickyard Road was be closed for several hours between Rt. 4 and Rt. 167 as police investigated.
