FBI, Police SWAT Teams Make Arrests in Hartford

FBI agents and police SWAT teams surrounded a Hartford building on Thursday morning and arrested several people in an ongoing drug investigation.

Law enforcement officials surrounded the building on Zion Street on Thursday morning and heavily armed officers, SWAT vehicles and ambulances were at the scene. Police had to shut down the street during the raid.

Police are conducting busts in other parts of the city, as well as other municipalities in Connecticut. police said.

"This investigation is multi jurisdictional, meaning it's going on in other towns and it involves state local and federal resources as well," Lt. Brian Foley, of Hartford police, said. "I can tell you this has been an elaborate and significant operations in Hartford and other areas of the state."

No injuries are reported and police said residents were not in harm's way.
