Sandy Hook Commission Meeting Underway

This is the first meeting since state police released about 7,000 pages of documents from its investigation.

The commission Gov. Dannel Malloy created in the wake of the tragic school shooting in Newtown in December 2012 is meeting today for the first time since state police released about 7,000 pages of documents from its investigation into the killings.

The commission is expected to discuss school safety plans, but will likely also discuss their continued attempts to obtain the shooter's mental health records and other details.
