Three students were taken to Connecticut Children's Medical Center to be evaluated as a precaution after a school bus was involved in a crash at Park Avenue and Railroad Crossing in East Hartford.

A car hit the back of the school bus, according to East Hartford police. The driver of the car was not hurt.

Police believe the students are from a Capitol Regional Education Council, or CREC, school.

The Hartford Courant reports that 10 children were onboard and the bus was heading to the University of Hartford Magnet School. A second bus was requested to transport the students, according to the Courant.
