Two People Found Safely After Search at Lake

The scene of the search at Bolton Lake

Two people who were thought to have been in Bolton lake after their raft overturned are safe according to the Bolton fire chief.

According to State Police and the fire chief, there were a few reports of two people getting into a raft and heading out onto the lake.

A short time later, emergency officials got a report that the raft had overturned.

State police, along with the local fire department and the Department of Environment Protection searched for nearly two hours before getting word that the two people who were in the water walked out on their own and are safe.

The search is now over and emergency crews have cleared the scene.
