For several hours on Tuesday morning, Suffield police were searching for a Lincoln Technical School student who police said threatened to shoot someone around 1:30 a.m., then got into a fight with a campus security guard.

Police found Dale Wakefield, 19, of Pennsylvania, around 10:30 a.m. on Route 159 in Windsor Locks by using a cell phone.

Officials said Wkefield has been at the school for a week.

Police said he might have been intoxicated when he got into the fight with the guard. It's unclear if the student had a weapon.

Wakefield's father passed away recently, and police said the student might be emotionally disturbed, cold and hungry.

Wakefield is at the Suffield police station, where he is being held on $100,000 bond. He will be in court on Wednesday morning.
