Police are investigating the second robbery at the 7-Eleven at 380 Route 6 in Andover in less than a week.

A man entered the 7-Eleven just before 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, implied he had a handgun and demanded cash from the register and cigarettes, police said.

He left the store on foot headed north on Route 6.

The man was described as being between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-8, around 145 pounds. He was wearing a black long-sleeve hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black sneakers with two white stripes.

On Sept. 25, a masked man pointed a gun at two workers and stole money out of the cash register.

The description for the robber is the same in both incidents.

State police said there is a strong possibility that the cases are related.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 860-537-7500.
