A 69-year-old woman was killed in a crash on Route 110 in Shelton Friday.
According to police, Rosemarie Dwyer was driving along River Road around 1:30 p.m. when her car collided with a car driven by Samantha Monaco, 23, of Shelton.
The accident happened in front of the Sports Center of Connecticut.
Dwyer was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
Monaco was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Route 110 was closed between Murphy’s Lane and Long Hill Avenue for several hours while police investigated the crash.
