Police have identified the man killed in a crash in Prospect on Saturday afternoon.
Donovan Nelson, 22, of Waterbury, was killed when the car he was driving on Route 69 veered into the shoulder and hit a utility pole, according to police.
Troopers responded to Route 69 near Greenwood Drive around 4:15 p.m. and found the vehicle on its side.
Nelson and a passenger were taken to St. Mary's Hospital where Nelson was pronounced dead.
The passenger suffered minor injuries.
