A 40-year-old Wethersfield man was killed when a tree fell on a vehicle on Route 6 in Columbia last Thursday afternoon, according to state police.
The victim has been identified as James Marcelynas.
The Columbia Fire Department is at the scene of the accident on Route 6 near Oakwood Lane.
The call came into Connecticut State Police at 2:32 p.m. Police said the tree came down because of heavy winds on Thursday.
