Metro-North Warns of Delays After Wire Issues

Metro-North is warning of delays, ranging from half an hour to an hour, after overhead wire damage and mechanical issues near Cos Cob caused massive delays on Metro-North's New Haven line earlier today.

Metro-North said regular New Haven Line service will be in effect this evening, but there will be some train cancellations and combinations, as well as anticipated delays of 30 to 60 minutes and crowded conditions.

Eastbound trains, to New Haven, will not stop at Cos Cob, Riverside or Old Greenwich.

Commuters should take the train to Stamford, where they can switch for westbound service to these stations.

New Canaan direct trains from Grand Central will not operate and commuters should transfer at Stamford for service to New Canaan.
