A 39-year-old man with a long criminal history is being held on more than $1 million bail, accused of sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend during a home invasion in Enfield

The woman told police that Roger Jackson broke into her home off Middle Road and woke her up at about 5 a.m. on Friday, sexually assaulted her, choked her and threatened to kill her.

She said she fled and called police after Jackson fell asleep. Jackson surrendered after a standoff with a police SWAT team.
