A convicted sex offender groped a fellow patient at a nursing home and is in police custody, police said.

Windell Jordan, 61, groped a woman at Marathon Healthcare Center in Norwalk and asked her to perform a sexual act, police said.

Jordan was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and is being held on $100,000 bond.

He has been on the state sex offender registry since a conviction in 1989.
