State police are investigating the report of a sexual assault near the University of Connecticut campus in Mansfield.

Two female victims told state police that two men took them into the woods during an off-campus party on Hunting Lodge Road and sexually assaulted them Friday night. Police said the victims did not know their attackers.

"While in the woods, it has been reported that one of the males had non-consensual sexual intercourse with one of the females, and the second male attempted to engage in non-consensual sexual contact with one of the females," said UConn police, in a release.
