Shaker Road, Enfield Reopens After Head-On Crash

    A two-vehicle crash closed Shaker Road in Enfield on Friday.

    Enfield Police reopened a stretch of Shaker Road near Taylor Road at around 8:00 p.m. following a head-on collision Friday afternoon. 

    According to police, a mother and three children were injured after their minivan collided head-on with a Fed Ex tractor trailer.

    Emergency crews responded and extracted the woman from the minivan. The woman and three children were taken to an area hospital for treatment, said police. Their conditions are not known at this time.

    Police said the driver of the Fed Ex truck was not injured and was questioned by officers at the scene.

    METRO Traffic Reconstruction Services are assisting police with the investigation.
