Here’s some of what you are saying:

Hook was delivering the Hartford Courant Sunday paper for the first time in the Blizzard of ’78 and trudged for 13 hours to start of route of 113 customers.

Lauren was 3 months old during the Blizzard of ’78. Her mom said they were stuck in the house for three days with nothing to do.

Louise: I remember getting into a fight with her my brother during the shoveling of the driveway. I lost my eyeglasses in a snowdrift. There was a fire in my homeroom at Norwich Free Academy. I could not see in front of me, never mind find my temporary homeroom on campus. When I finally got my new glasses, I felt like a brand new person.”

Reni: “I remember the storm of '78. They don't make ’em like that anymore - 4 days off from school, snowdrifts 15 feet high. It was awesome.”

Tina: “I remember the storm of ’78. I was a senior in high school and my brother threw me head first into a snowdrift!!!! Those were the good old days when you didn't worry about getting to work, paying the bills or what was for dinner. Part of me is glad we don't the storms like that anymore but I remember how fun it was to stay out all day and play in the snow. Too bad my kids have never seen snow like that.”
