Shelton police are investigating after a man offered a 17-year-old a ride to school several times this morning.

The teen told police that she was walking to her bus stop in the White Hills area just before 7 a.m. when a man in a white Nissan stopped next to her, told her the bus had already come and offered her a ride to school.

When the girl refused, the man offered a few more times before driving away, police said.

The man is described as an older heavyset white male.

Police checked the area, but could not find the vehicle.

Anyone with any information should call police at (203) 924-1544.
