Police Develop “Strong Leads” in Bridgeport Fatal Shooting

A 29-year-old Shelton man was killed in Bridgeport's 10th homicide of the year.

A 29-year-old man from Shelton died after a shooting in Bridgeport on Saturday and detectives are pursuing strong leads, according to police.

He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital on Saturday evening, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Mariano is Bridgeport's 10th homicide victim of the year.

Police are investigating the shooting. They were looking to speak with a man and a woman spotted in video and interviewed them at the police station last night.

Detectives are pursuing strong leads and the investigation is progressing well, police said in a news release issued on Monday afternoon.
