Police in Shelton are investigating the brutal assault of a 17-year-old who was lying on the ground on Thursday afternoon, incoherent and bleeding.
Police said they found the boy around 4:45 p.m. on Canal Street, by Bridge Street and he was bleeding from his nose and ears.
Witnesses told police that the teen appeared to be involved in a fight with three other teens.
EMS took the teen to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment.
Police have found no evidence that any weapons were used in the assault and have made no arrests.
