Simsbury Police Investigate Suspicious Incident

Simsbury police are investigating what they call a suspicious person complaint.

According to police, a 13-year-old girl was walking home from school in the area of Firetown Road and Crestwood Road around 2:15 p.m. Friday when a vehicle pulled up next to her. The passenger yelled out "get in my car" and the girl ran home, police said.

The teen told police there were two people in the vehicle, but that she did not see the driver. The passenger is described as a man in his 20s with short, dark hair, dark eyes, no facial hair and wearing a white t-shirt.

The vehicle was green, with two Connecticut license plates, but the girl could not give police details on the make or model.

Anyone who may have see the vehicle is asked to call Detective Dan Thibault at 860-658-3141 or Officer Jason Trombly at 860-658-3100 ext. 4226.
