Simsbury police arrested Scott R. Berg in connection with two recent knife-point robberies in East Windsor and Simsbury.

Police have arrested a man in connection with the knife-point robbery a Simsbury convenience store late last month.

Forty-year-old Scott R. Berg, of 16 Seymour Road Apt. 1E in East Granby, was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.

Police said they believe Berg is responsible for the armed robbery of a Sunrise Convenience Store at 1225 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury.

Authorities said the robber took an unidentified amount of cash from the convenience store.

Berg has only been arrested in connection with one robbery, but during the investigation, police said they thought the same man could also be responsible for robbing the Days Inn on Ella Grasso Boulevard in Windsor Locks.

Roughly $200 was stolen from the hotel, according to police.

It's not clear whether police are investigating Berg in relation to that robbery as well.

Police said the robber presented a knife during both holdups.

Berg is held on a $250,000 bond and is due in court in Enfield on Sept. 16.
