Simsbury police are investigating the crash that killed one teen and sent three others to the hospital early on Sunday morning.

Police have not released the names of the victims involved in the crash, but Diane Ullman, Superintendent of Simsbury schools, said the teen killed was Tommy Tanski, a student at Simsbury High School. He would have been a senior in the fall.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. on Old Meadow Plains Road at Glen Court.

Police said all four passenger were taken to the hospital and Tanski was there when he died of his injuries. The three other people are expected to survive.

Friends have posted a hand-painted sign outside the high school that says, "Rest in Peace Tommy -- Forever Loved."

Police are still investigating the accident and have not released the names of the other people who were in the car. Tanski's friends said he was not the driver.

The North Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is assisting with the crash investigation.
