The body found by creek was identified by dental records.

The man whose skeletal remains were found along a creek in Bridgeport was a career burglar who was due in court on larceny charges from a Westport arrest, officials said.

The remains of Michael Oravetz, 37, were found on Saturday along Ash Creek.

Dental records confirmed the identity of the Bridgeport man, authorities said on Wednesday.

Police say they have no evidence so far of foul play, but the cause of death remains under investigation.

Oravetz had served prison time for burglary and larceny. He was arrested in June on larceny charges and a re-arrest was ordered on July 14, according to court documents.
