A skydiver was taken to the hospital after an accident in Ellington Saturday morning.
State police said they responded around 9:20 a.m. to Meadow Brook Road for reports of an injured parachutist. The female victim struck a tree and was alert when first responders found her, police said. She was transported to Hartford Hospital via Lifestar helicopter for evaluation of non-life threatening leg injuries, according to police.
The victim was not identified. Trooper are investigating the accident.
