FRIDAY Update: Storm to Bring 3 to 6 Inches of Snow to Connecticut This Weekend

Several Inches of Snow on Saturday

A storm system that will form off the coast looks like it will bring the first plowable snow of the season to Connecticut this weekend.

The state could see anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of snow.

NBC Connecticut's meteorologists have issued a First Alert ahead of the storm.

Snow will begin falling early Saturday morning and will likely continue through the day and into Saturday night.

It should taper off sometime after midnight. Flurries could continue before daybreak on Sunday.

The storm system will track to the east of Connecticut Friday evening and Saturday morning.

A shift in the storm's track could affect the snow totals so stay tuned.
