911 Service Restored After Outage in Parts of Connecticut

A 911 outage affected some towns in Connecticut, including New Britain, South Windsor, Rocky Hill, Glastonbury and Vernon on Wednesday afternoon.

A number of police departments tweeted their routine phone numbers for anyone who needed to get in touch with them.

After a short time, service was restored to most towns.

New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart tweeted the outage was caused by an AT&T server failure.
