Clara Tu, 6, of Southbury, Conn., loves to play the piano and she'll soon be playing on one of the world's most prestigious stages -- Carnegie Hall.
"I like when my fingers move around and I like to make ... happy songs or sad songs. It's really fun,” Clara said.
She makes it look easy.
"She just has passion. She wants to learn,” her mother and piano teacher Felicia Zhang said.
Clara’s been listening to the sounds of piano since she was a baby and started playing just before she turned 4, under the guidance of her mother.
"It's really great to have a mom who is a teacher because (she) teaches me a lot of things,” Clara said.
However Felicia, herself an accomplished pianist, still has yet to accomplish some of the same goals her young daughter has. For instance, she has never played at Carnegie Hall.

"That is my dream too. My dream hasn't come true yet,” Zhang said.
Clara landed three performance dates by taking top spots at various competitions.
"I'm kind of nervous,” she said.
You'd never know by listening to her play. In fact, it's hard not to remember this is a first grader making this music.
"I'm really thrilled for her success but I know it's just started," Zhang said.
Clara will perform at Carnegie Hall on April 18, May 1 and May 16.
