Stabbing at Hartford Nightclub Ruled a Homicide

A Springfield, Massachusetts man died after he was stabbed early Saturday morning in Hartford and police have ruled it a homicide, according to police.

When police responded to Club Symmetry Vine at 70 Union Place at about 1:30 a.m., they  were led inside the club to a side room where they found a 24-year-old man with a stab wound to the upper right chest.

The injury appeared to be life-threatening and an ambulance rushed him to St. Francis Hospital. The victim was brought to the Intensive Care Unit after undergoing surgery, but police said he has since died.

The major crimes division is investigating it as a homicide, according to Deputy Chief Brian Foley.

Police haven't released the name of the man killed and no arrests have been made at this time.
