State Police Clear Scene at Tolland High School After Threat Investigation

Troopers from state police responded to Tolland High School to investigate some threatening comments on Wednesday morning and the school was in "secure building" mode until around 9:50 a.m.

The superintendent said some students made threatening comments on the school bus and the school was placed in "secure building" mode as a precaution. That means the doors were locked, but students were able to go about their day.

State police said they responded at 6:50 a.m. and the lockdown is believed to have been lifted at 9:50 a.m.

Some troopers have cleared the scene, but some remain at the school to finish the investigation.

According to the superintendent, school administrators isolated the students who made the comments and they were being interviewed.
