Crowds Hit Stores on Black Friday

Amanda Dazy

Check out this Wal-mart in North Windham. Many shoppers hit the stores early on Thanksgiving to get their Black Friday shopping underway.

The Thanksgiving meals are done, and thousands of shoppers headed to stores across Connecticut to find Black Friday deals.

Some people didn't wait until Friday and took advantage of a number of stores that opened on Thursday.  Stores like Kmart, Walmart, Sears, Old Navy and others tried to lure shoppers away from the Thanksgiving dinner table with pre-Black Friday deals.

Shoppers were lined up outside Kohl's in Lisbon late Thursday night, hoping to get doorbuster deals early Friday morning.
