Severe storms caused damage through parts of Connecticut on Sunday.

A tornado watch was issued for the state for most of the day and one particularly strong storm triggered a tornado warning just after 3 p.m.

The storm moved from southern Litchfield County into Farmington, Hartford, South Windsor and Manchester before weakening.

Trees were toppled in Roxbury, Litchfield, Granby and Lyme.  The storms knocked out power to more than 11,000 Connecticut Light & Power customers.  Many were still in the dark Sunday night.

Tornado watches for Connecticut expired at 8 p.m.
