Student Advertised Marijuana Business: Cops

In most cases, a college student would be considered entrepreneurial for creating a business card advertising his or her business.

However, business cards led police to arrest a Fairfield University student who is accused of passing around business cards advertising his alleged marijuana sales business, “Bean Marijuana Inc.”

James Torpey, 18, of Roxbury, Massachusetts, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia, the Connecticut Post reports.

The Fairfield Sun reports that Torpey had business cards made up that had his cell phone number on them. Officers called the number and made  several purchases from Torpey at his dorm, the Web site reports.
