A Plainfield High School student accused of assaulting a teacher was arrested on Wednesday.
Plainfield police said the teacher was assaulted on school grounds around 2:20 p.m. and suffered minor injuries.
The student was charged with assault on an elderly person and second-degree breach of peace. The student’s name has not been released because of his or her age.
The student’s parents were later contacted and the child was released to their custody.
