Suspect in Milford Robbery Arrested

Milford Police are looking for the man who robbed the Subway restaurant at 1 River St on Sunday night.

Milford police said they have arrested a suspect in a robbery at the Subway restaurant at 1 River Street on Sunday night.

Victor Federico, 37, of Milford, has been charged with robbery in the first degree. Bond has been set at $100,000 and he us due in court on Tuesday.

Police began investigating after a man entered the store at 7:55 p.m. on Sept. 16, engaged the employee in conversation, then said he had a gun in his backpack and demanded the money from the cash register, police said.

He did not show a weapon and fled westbound on North Broad Street on a bicycle, according to police.

The description was for a man between 18 and 20 years old, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, wearing gray gym shorts with two white stripes down the sides, a dark long-sleeved sweatshirt with writing on the left chest area, white sneakers and a New York Yankees baseball hat,

Federico was identified as a suspect and a warrant was issued.

Police said they found Federico at 1120 New Haven Ave. and took him into custody.
