Federal corruption trial of Shelton developer begins in New Haven.

The arrest warrant for Luis Otero says he killed Madeline Brisson because she admitted to him that she slept with his mentally challenged daughter, the Hartford Courant reports.

Otero’s sister, Sandra William, told Groton police on March 8 that her brother told her during a phone conversation the day before that "he got angry and could not take it any longer," the newspaper reports.

Otero, a 49-year-old Army veteran, told her "the lady he lived with" had been drinking the night of the crime, yelled at him about his daughter and said he could not take care of her, the Courant reports.

Earlier this month, Brisson’s body was found in a freezer in the Gold Star Highway home she and Otero shared.

Otero knew Brisson had been involved in lesbian relationships in the past, and while he wasn't sure if Brisson meant they had been together sexually, "he got angry," the Courant reports, citing the warrant.

The warrant says that Otero went to Groton police department on the night of March 7 and said a woman's body was in a freezer at 1184 Gold Star Highway, the Courant reports. Police asked how he knew and he said he had put it there.
