Milford police have arrested a suspected burglar after residents returned on home on Saturday morning to find someone in their house, stealing their valuables.
Police said they received a complaint at 1:45 a.m. on Saturday reporting a residential burglary at a Milford Point home.
The residents found someone inside their home and the burglar fled with valuables, including cell phones, cash and other personal belongings, police said.
Police identified Sergio Riccardi, 31, of Bridgeport, as the suspect. He was taken into custody in his hometown with help from Bridgeport police department and been charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief and credit card theft.
He was held on $75,000 bond.
