Police have charged a suspect in the homicide of a 28-year-old Norwich man in September.

Police have charged Dequan McKethan, 34, of Norwich, with the murder of Darius Bishop.

McKethan, who is currently incarcerated on other charges, was arrested just after 10 a.m. on Monday and held on a $1 million court-set bond.

Bishop’s body was found at a recreation field at 59 Bozrah Street in Bozrah around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

He died from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the head, police said.
