Suspect in Southington TD Bank Robbery in Custody

The Southington Police Department have a suspect in custody in a robbery that occurred on Monday at TD Bank in the Plantsville section of Southington.

Brandon Dlugos, of Southington, is suspected of committing the robbery at the branch at 921 Meriden Waterbury Turnpike around 5 p.m. on Dec. 3, according to a news release from police.

He was taken into custody when police received a report of someone matching his description acting suspiciously inside a Meriden Waterbury Turnpike business at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

Dlugos was charged with third-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny and is being held on a $200,000 court-set bond. He is due in court in Bristol on Thursday.

Police said he handed the teller at TD Bank a note demanding cash. He did not show a weapon.

Court records show prior convictions, including a fourth-degree larceny conviction in 2009.

Southington Police continue to investigate robberies at the Farmington Savings Bank Robbery on Dec. 3 and the robbery at 7-Eleven on Dec. 4.
