Suspect in Windsor Locks Gas Station Robbery Arrested

    Police have arrested a suspect in a robbery at a Windsor Locks gas station.

    Police in Windsor Locks have arrested a suspect in an armed robbery at a gas station on Ella Grasso Turnpike last night.

    Police said a man with a gun stole cash from the register of the Valero gas station at 245 Ella Grasso Turnpike and fled from the store.

    A K-9 unit searched the area and found the suspect, Samuel Taylor, 21, of Windsor Locks, about half a mile away and took him into custody.

    Investigators recovered a fake gun and cash.

    Taylor was charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree larceny, possession of a facsimile gun,  breach of peace and interfering with a police officer.

    He is being held on $100,000 surety bond and will appear in Enfield Superior Court on Friday.
