Suspicious Fire Engulfs North Branford Home

Firefighters are investigating a suspicious fire that broke out in North Branford on Sunday morning.

Firefighters responded to 585 Foxon Road around 3 a.m. on Sunday after the homeowner woke up to the smell of gasoline and saw large flames in her home.

Fire investigators said they found several points of ignition, which the fire chief said all but gurarantees that this was a case of arson.

The homeowner said her family has been harassed in recent weeks and she saw at least three spots where it looks like a fire was lit.

Four people were inside the home, as well as a dog, when the fire started. Everyone made it out safely.
