Tat's Not Good Dad Says, Artist Busted

A Stratford teen's tattoo ended with her father very angry and the artist under arrest.

Angel Tirado, 28, was arrested Tuesday, after police say he tattooed an image of brass knuckles on the lower back of the 16-year-old girl, the Danbury News-Times reports. Tirado stood outside Stratford High School, offering to give tattoos to students for $40, the teen's dad told police.

He also complained to police that Tirado was reusing tattoo needles without sterlizing them, the paper reports.

Police and the Health Department officials found a table with several tattooing instruments, including ink and needles, the News-Times reports. Tirado has been charged with reckless endangerment, tattooing a person under 18 and violating state health tattoo guidelines.
